Pool Clarifier

Pool Clarifier

Pool Clarifier is a chemical used to improve water clarity by causing fine particles to clump together so they can be captured by the pool filter.

How Does a Pool Clarifier Work?

Clarifiers use polymers that bind to tiny particles, forming larger clumps that are easier for the filter to remove, leaving the water crystal clear.

When to Use a Pool Clarifier

  • Cloudy Water: Use after heavy pool use or if the water remains cloudy despite proper filtration.
  • Maintenance: As part of routine maintenance to keep water sparkling clear.

How to Apply Pool Clarifier

  1. Test and balance the water chemistry, especially pH and chlorine levels.
  2. Follow the product instructions to calculate the correct dosage.
  3. Pour the clarifier evenly around the pool while the pump is running.
  4. Allow the filtration system to run continuously for 24 hours for optimal results.

Tips for Using a Pool Clarifier

  • Don’t overdose, as excessive clarifier can have the opposite effect.
  • Clean the filter after using clarifier to remove captured debris.
