How to use

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read the entire label and use strictly in accordance with precautionary statements and directions. Keep pH between 7.2 and 7.6 and never allow it to fall below 7.0. The treatment necessary for your pool or spa will change considerably depending upon those factors that burden the disinfection system. Some of the factors that will vary the required treatment are water temperature, bather load, exposure to windblown debris, thunder, rainstorms, and length of filtration cycle. Users must wear chemical-resistant gloves while placing the tablet in the swimming pool/spas.

SPAS AND HOT TUBS:

  1. Before initially using this product in your spa or hot tub you will need to add 1/2 oz. of sodium bromide for each 100 gallons of water.
  2. The same treatment must be followed each time you drain and refill your spa or hot tub with fresh water.
  3. Introduce 3 tablets per 300 gallons of spa water with the use of a floating tablet feeder or automatic brominator installed on the spa equipment.
  4. Adjust tablet feeder or brominator to obtain an active bromine residual of at least 2 ppm.
  5. Maintain spa by adding 3 tablets per 300 gallons every 5-7 days or as needed to maintain an active bromine residual of 2 ppm at all times.
  6. Spa water has a tendency to foam and cloud; this is directly proportional to the amount of spa use.
  7. Cloudiness is due to the accumulation of body fats, oils and contaminants too small for the filtration equipment to remove, and is linked to rapid escalation of total dissolved solids in the water.
  8. To a great extent, defoamers, clarifiers, as well as shock treatments, demineralizers, or sequestering agents can be used to clear the water.
  9. When water clarification cannot be achieved, drain, clean, and refill the spa.

SWIMMING POOLS:

  1. In newly filled pools, shock the pool if necessary.
  2. Follow directions for use on this label to establish an effective active bromine residual of between 2 and 3 ppm.
  3. Test water frequently using a reliable bromine test kit.
  4. Adjust the flow rate through the brominator if necessary, to maintain the active bromine residual.

The following treatments are provided as general recommendations.

  1. Automatic and floating brominators have use instructions peculiar to their design.
  2. Frequently a brominator must be filled to capacity every week – while the adjustments allow the user to erode only the total amount of this product necessary for proper sanitization.
  3. As suggested below, the slow dissolving nature of the chemical combined with the design features of the brominator requires that a greater amount of chemical be exposed to the water.

RESIDENTIAL:

  1. Add 17 tablets per 10,000 gallons every 5-7 days or as needed to maintain a bromine residual of 2-3 ppm at all times.
  2. Apply a weekly treatment through the use of a floating tablet feeder or an automatic brominator which will allow you to adjust the amount of bromine entering the water.

COMMERCIAL:

Add 31 tablets per 10,000 gallons every 5-7 days or as needed to maintain an active bromine residual of between 3 and 5 ppm at all times.

AMAZING PRODUCT!!

This is an Amazing product! We were using Chlorine in our Hot Tub and it seemed it needed it often. With this, we are using less and the water is Crystal clear! Make sure you do NOT put this in a hot tub that has Chlorine in it. You must drain first. You will Enjoy using this. The cost is less than Chlorine and will past longer!

Good to have around

My first hot tub, so I bought the complete kit. I really didn’t need all the items here, but it is good to have just in case. A little bit on the expensive side, but it does come with everything you need. All in all the product is fantastic. I use the shock all the time.

All the chemicals I've needed in one box

This is a simple way to get my inflatable spa ready for use. Aquadoc's starter kit had all the chemicals I needed to keep the water ready for relaxing. The only "extra" would be the metal prevent, but I use is 4-oz each water change to add a bit of protection the pump. Of course, the bottle only has large volume information, but 2.5-oz for each 100 gallons is their recommendation.I'm concerned about how long the floater will last, but it's working out so far. In the past, I struggled to maintain the proper bromine balance using the built-in dosing ring, but this new approach has proven to be more effective. My box did arrive with the Bromine tablet bottle top not ******* on so there was a fair amount of Bromine dust coating each bottle.

This Aquadoc hot tub starter kit is everything you need to keep your hot tub clean and clear. It contains all the essential chemicals, including bromine tablets, calcium increaser, pH increaser, pH decreaser, chlorine-free shock, defoamer, metal prevent, floater, and test strips. The bromine tablets quickly dissolve to remove cloudy water and keep your water balanced. The calcium increaser and metal prevent help to prolong the life of your hot tub by reducing corrosion and buildup. The pH increaser and decreaser make it easy to maintain your hot tub's chemistry. Overall, this is a great starter kit for anyone with a hot tub, including everything you need to get started all in one convenient kit.
