How to use

What if this doesn't remove the foam from my spa water?
All of our spa chemicals are professional grade and should fix foam issues assuming foam is not just a symptom of a larger underlying issue (we sound like doctors, hence the name). However, if you're not also using a water clarifier, you may still have dirt contaminants that continue causing foam. How can I prevent foam so I don't have to order this every week!?
Foam is typically caused by contaminants in the water. We recommend preventing getting contaminants in your water and regular maintenance to control those contaminants before they become a problem.
To prevent contaminants that cause foam:
Avoid using fabric softener on hot tub bathing suits when washing
Remove makeup and other oils before getting in the hot tub
Try to avoid dipping hair into the tub or remove hair product before use
Regularly add spa water clarifier to your hot tub and defoamer once a week
Where is our spa defoamer made?

This works well, but I prefer to use it with a sprayer, which is not included when the water starts foaming. Keep in mind that if your water is foaming, there is some reason for it. Sometimes when you put the filters in a cleaner solution, if you do not rinse them completely, any residual soap will foam up the water. I rinse my filters every month and clean them with filter clean products at least every 6 months. The wrong chemicals can also cause foaming. If and when any that happens and you don't immediately want to clean and rinse your filters and/or drain your spa, this will get you by until you do.

Detergents from swimwear/soap/deodorant/hair products/etc - foam can build up pretty quickly in a hot tub. This stuff works, instantaneously, but it doesn't last long. Probably not good to use constantly. We usually break it out once every couple of weeks, depending on how many people have been in the hot tub. This is the only product of its kind that I've tried, so I have nothing to compare to. Nice to have a bottle around, but remember to NEVER let anyone in with shorts on or a t-shirt. Best to dedicate one suit of swimwear and only wear that in the hot tub. But if you're like us and throw occasional parties it's inevitable that foam will build up over time.
It’s ok. Works fast but leaves slimy white chunks of product behind. I would give it a lower score for this reason except it really does take care of the foam.
