Pool Tile Scaling

Tile scaling is the buildup of calcium deposits on pool tiles, often caused by high calcium hardness or imbalanced water chemistry.

Causes of Tile Scaling

  • High levels of calcium hardness.
  • Elevated pH and alkalinity.
  • Evaporation leaving behind mineral deposits.

Removing and Preventing Tile Scaling

  • Use a tile cleaner or mild acid to remove buildup.
  • Maintain proper pH and calcium hardness levels.
  • Use a sequestrant to prevent mineral deposits.
